    SUBJECT                                                                ACTIVITIES
LITERACY/ SPEECH
·       Read - at least one book to your child each day. TAKE YOUR TIME reading and looking at the pictures on each page. Remember that your child needs more time to process what is going on and needs more explicit teaching.  Post or send me a picture of your child looking at or reading books!

·       Syllable Clap – Clap the syllables in your name. (e.g. “Happy” has two syllables HA-PPY – clap twice). Can you find out how many syllables are in each of your friends’ names? How about your family members? Pets? Favorite foods?

·       Writing Wizard App – available for free in the app store. Practice pointing finger skills and basic writing letters and shapes on the ipad/tablet.

·       Sign language Alphabet -https://youtu.be/nGKrVR82DPg

·       Talker/visuals – use your talker, PODD book or visuals while doing the activities to promote speech and communication opportunities. Let me know if you would like any visuals. We can make them customized for you and email to you, ready to print!

MATH
·       Deck of Cards – look at the shapes and numbers on a deck of cards. Can you point to and count the number of shapes on each card?

·       Make your own calendar – get some poster paper and make your own calendar to follow along with me during circle time! You can also google “free printable calendar” to make your own small one.

·       Calendar count – count to 30 by ones (1, 2, 3…), twos (2, 4, 6…), fives (5, 10, 15…)
